Brand and protect your videos

A watermark shows who made a video and makes it harder to repost without credit. Creators add a channel name or handle, businesses add their logo, photographers and agencies stamp previews before a client pays, and teams mark internal drafts as confidential. This tool overlays either a line of text or an image logo on every frame of your video and exports a new MP4.

It runs entirely in your browser. The watermark is rendered with the canvas API and composited onto the video with ffmpeg.wasm, a WebAssembly version of ffmpeg, so neither the video nor your logo is uploaded anywhere. The first run downloads the ffmpeg engine and later runs reuse it.

Position, opacity, size and margin

Choose one of nine positions: the four corners, the middle of each edge or the center. The margin is a percentage of the shorter side of the video, so a 3% margin keeps the watermark the same visual distance from the edge on a vertical phone video and on a widescreen recording. Logo width is a percentage of the video width with the aspect ratio preserved, and text size is a percentage of the video height.

Opacity is baked into the watermark image before it is overlaid, so a 60% setting lets the video show through the logo or text. For text, a soft drop shadow keeps light text readable over bright backgrounds. Text is drawn with your system fonts, so accents and non-Latin scripts work. Press Preview to see the exact placement on a frame from your clip before spending time on encoding.

Tips for effective watermarks

Corners are the least distracting, but they are also the easiest to crop away; a semi-transparent watermark nearer the center is harder to remove. Avoid the bottom area if the video already has captions, and keep clear of the top-right on platforms that place buttons there. The output is re-encoded as H.264 MP4 with AAC audio, so long or 4K videos take longer; trim or resize them first if processing is slow.

Frequently asked questions

Are my video and logo uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn and the video is encoded in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm. The first run downloads the WebAssembly engine, but your files stay on your device.
Which logo formats work?
Any image your browser can open, including PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.
Can I make the watermark semi-transparent?
Yes. Set the opacity from 5% to 100%. Around 50–70% is visible but does not distract from the video.
Will the watermark look the same on vertical and horizontal videos?
Sizes and margins are relative to the video dimensions, so the watermark scales with the frame. Use Preview to check it on a real frame first.
